Hiring a pro lifts the “forever DM” burden so everyone in your group gets to sit back, relax, and actually play. You aren't just paying for table time — you're investing in hours of custom preparation, immersive world-building, high-quality maps, digital and physical tools, and a guide who understands the rules mechanics and improvisational storytelling well enough to tailor the entire game to your choices.
Absolutely — no prior knowledge or expensive rulebooks required. I specialize in onboarding new players, teaching the mechanics patiently “by doing,” and fostering a low-stress, welcoming environment. I supply everything you need to get started, from pre-generated characters to guided cheat-sheets.
I specialize in the Daggerheart system — its mechanics are built for the collaborative, narrative-driven storytelling behind the cinematic experiences I create. If your group specifically wants Dungeons & Dragons (5e), I run D&D through Goblets & Goblins in Newmarket, so you can still book me for a D&D table there. Either way, you end up at the table that best suits your playstyle.
Scheduling conflicts are the number-one reason home campaigns collapse. As a professional GM I provide structured scheduling and clear baseline expectations right from Session Zero. Because this is a professional service, sessions are guaranteed to run reliably — giving your group a dedicated, dependable space to actually see an epic story through to its conclusion.
Table safety and comfort are my highest priorities. Before we ever roll a die, we establish a social contract (Session Zero) outlining boundaries, lines, and veils. A Game Master's word is also law: acting as a mediator lets me gracefully navigate rules disputes and balance different player styles — whether you love heavy roleplay or tactical combat — so every single person at the table feels heard, valued, and comfortable.
Life happens! We establish a clear attendance and “absent player” policy during setup. Typically, as long as a minimum number of players are present, the session continues, and I'll seamlessly weave in a narrative reason for your character's temporary departure — or adapt the encounters — so you don't miss out on the fun when you return.
Life happens on my end too. If I need to reschedule, I'll provide as much notice as possible and offer either a make-up session at a later date or a session credit applied to your next booking. To keep logistics sustainable, cash refunds are not provided for rescheduled sessions.
I'm deeply committed to creating a space that feels right for you. If you feel my style or the current campaign isn't meeting your expectations, reach out for a candid conversation — often a simple shift in focus or communication resolves the issue. If you decide my sessions aren't the right fit, you're free to discontinue at any time. While I can't refund sessions already played, we can discuss pro-rating or cancelling any upcoming pre-paid sessions.
Every session runs 2.5 hours, with all equipment and materials included. A 25% deposit (by e-transfer) secures your date.
I ask for 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel. Because each session is prepped well in advance, cancellations inside the 48-hour window may forfeit the deposit.
In-person sessions include travel within 30 km of Pickering. Beyond that, a flat $30 travel fee applies. I serve Durham Region plus the York Region side — Stouffville, Aurora, and Newmarket.
